She thought she was going to be a personal assistant, not a nanny…

When Penelope Walton lands a job at Goldman Corp, the last thing on her mind is that it might be a cover-up for something dark and illegal that her boss is involved in. When Richard Goldman introduces her to the twins he and his wife have just adopted and tells her she’s going to be in charge of their homeschooling, Penny is disappointed. She doesn’t have a degree in Business Management so she can be an overpaid nanny. Something is wrong here. To make things worse, a mysterious, hot-as-sin businessman has come all the way from Spain to strike a deal with Goldman, and he’s set his eyes on her. Even when red flags pop up, she cannot resist his charms.

His mission was simple… until he saw how far his enemies had gone…

Enzo Salvador is a ram-shifter and an immortal Aries Guardian. His job is to track down, save and protect sheep-shifters who have disappeared and have, most likely, been kidnapped by filthy rich people who think it’s their right to own shifters for their own fun and gain. He will not stand for it. No matter how dangerous his missions are, he will crush every single person who dared to harm one of his kind. His job is his life, so when he meets curvy, sexy Penelope, he tries to lie to himself: he wants her because she’s the key to solving the case, not because the horned beast inside him screams “mate”.

She switched her weight from one leg to the other and accepted a second glass of champagne from one of the waiters, just so she’d keep at least one of her hands busy. A few steps away, Killian was talking to a gray-haired man whom Penny knew was a politician. She promised herself she would approach her childhood friend as soon as he finished the conversation he was currently in. Just as she was thinking that, Killian turned around and spotted her. A bright smile lit up his features, and he quickly excused himself and headed her way. She smiled in relief. She was saved.

Unfortunately, she had gotten happy and giddy too fast. Killian had crossed half of the distance between them when a tall, dark-haired man stopped him and patted him on the back.

Penny cocked an eyebrow, curiously studying the new guy. “Well, well…” she thought, “I haven’t seen you before. Who are you, handsome?”

The stranger was so bulky that she was pretty sure he belonged in a gym, not at a fancy cocktail party. The expensive suit fit him amazingly, but she could tell he would’ve felt more comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. Also, he was young. He and Killian were the youngest men in this room, and the only reason why Killian was attending the party was because he was Goldman’s heir. So, what was the dark-haired stranger doing here? He wasn’t a banker, nor a politician. He was too young to have had achieved the level of fortune and influence the old, crabby guys who were present had. Or, was he? Maybe she was too quick to judge?

When she realized all her questions were about to be answered because Killian was bringing the guy over, she inhaled and exhaled deeply and slowly a couple of times. Why was she suddenly feeling all tingly? Yes, the man was hot as hell, but it wasn’t like she hadn’t met other sexy guys before. She’d even dated a few.

“Penny, I’m so glad to see you!”

She giggled when Killian pulled her into a warm embrace and held her there for a second longer. She realized then just how much she’d missed him. He was tall and good-looking, but he’d never been her type. So, no, she had no intention of marrying him, as her parents were still hoping. But she would have enjoyed spending more time with him.

“I want you to meet Enzo Salvador,” he released her and turned to the man politely waiting at a distance. “Enzo, this is Penelope Walton, my father’s personal assistant and close family friend.”

Enzo’s fine manners took Penny’s breath away. He looked straight into her eyes, bowed slightly, and took her hand into his. When he kissed her knuckles, Penny felt her knees tremble and her stomach tense in anticipation. Anticipation of what? Electricity ran up her arm and almost made her jolt in surprise.

Killian laughed cheerfully. “Enzo is from Spain, but don’t let him fool you. His English is perfect.”

Penny smiled shyly. She couldn’t look away from those intense, green eyes.

“¿Hablas Español, cielo?”

“N-no…” She understood the question, but not the last word. “Cielo?”

Killian shook his head in amusement. “Please don’t mind him, Penny. He’s a charmer, and he says that to all girls.”

Enzo finally released her hand. He turned to Killian and punched him in the shoulder jokingly.

“Why are you never on my side?”

“Not this time, my friend. Penelope is very dear to me and my family. If my father finds out you’re flirting with her, the deal is off.” He laughed wholeheartedly as if to show he was, in fact, kidding.

“Deal? What deal?” Penny was confused. Aside from the fact that Enzo’s slightly accented voice made her whole body tingle, she’d never seen Killian being so close and chatty with someone who was not his brother, Zane. If he had managed to charm Killian, who’d never really had male best friends because he was too competitive for that, then Enzo was, indeed, a charmer.

“Enzo here owns a flourishing business in Central Spain, and we’re in talks of Goldman Corp making a serious investment.”

Penny took a deep breath and turned to Enzo. Why was it so hard to address him and look him in the eyes at the same time?

“What kind of business? I don’t want to pry… I’m just curious.”

He smiled and took a sip of his champagne.

“Have you ever been to Spain, Ms. Walton?”

“Please call me Penny. And no, I haven’t.”

“Well, Penny… Imagine acres and acres of harsh, arid, rocky land. That’s the La Mancha region, where I was born. Now, what do you think one can do with this unfriendly land that would also turn a good profit?”

“Err… I’m sorry.”

“Grow sheep.” He smiled widely. “But not just any kind of sheep. The best suited for the unbearably hot summers and the freezing cold winters we get in La Mancha are the Manchego sheep, and they give the most delicious cheese you’ve ever tasted.”

She blinked in surprise. “Richard Goldman wants to invest in Spanish sheep farms?” She made sure not to express her thoughts out loud. The last thing she wanted was to offend the gorgeous Latino lover who was currently undressing her with his gaze. Not that it was too much of an effort… Her burgundy dress already left little to the imagination.

“Fascinating,” she whispered.

“I can see you’re not impressed,” he smiled indulgently. “How about I steal you from this boring party for old people and show you what my chef can do with Manchego cheese?”

She blushed to the tips of her ears.

Echo glared at the back of Jace’s head, hoping he could feel her anger. She swallowed the growl that tried to escape her lips. He was getting under her skin on purpose. She shouldn’t let him get to her, but no one had shared her space like this in… well she didn’t remember the last time she had someone actually staying with her. Thinking on it made her realize, other than when she was a child, she’d never shared her habitat with others. Her home was the one place she could be herself, where she didn’t feel like she had to meet some silly nymph expectation. Other nymphs she had grown up with used their lust magic to get anything and everything they wanted, and many males would succumb to sudden death because of it. Echo didn’t want to kill, and she could get things she wanted without a man. She could barely believe how abrupt Jace was, how could he just make himself comfortable on her couch?

And did he have to take up so much room?
No. She couldn’t let him push her around. She was a nymph. Her very essence was of seduction. She was made to lure, to get what she desired. Men did as she wanted, even if she didn’t always like it. That’s how her magic worked.
Why didn’t Jace do as she wanted him to? Could he be immune to her nymph charms?

“Is this your home?” Demetri asked.

“Yeah,” Mary said, sounding strained. “The ranch has been in my family for four generations. My parents have been gone a few years now—” She bit off whatever she’d been about to say, clearly changing her mind. Instead, she said, “It’s all mine now. Well, mine and the bank’s.”

He nodded. Less than a foot separated them. Desire heated his blood, rendering cool thought damn near impossible. Foremost instinct urged him to seize Mary’s shoulders and haul her against him, cover her mouth with his own, and kiss her senseless. With any other woman, he would’ve. But Mary wasn’t a common bar hook-up any more than Colleen could be called a mutt. Both women possessed fine pedigrees and refined sensibilities, and he wouldn’t be the insensitive clod that upset either of them.

“It’s beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Mary took a deep breath. Trembling, she took the final step that brought her against him. The full, firm swell of her bosom pressed against his chest.

“You’re beautiful.” He stroked his fingers over her shoulder and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. When she tilted her head back, he brushed a light kiss over her lips.

Mary grasped his forearms, digging in with her nails. “Make love to me, Demetri.”

Excerpt (Spicy)

I almost wished the woman standing before me was about forty years older, with short, gray hair and was somebody’s beloved grandmother. Not the beautiful creature I’d been thinking about for the past two days. Though, now that I found her, I wasn’t about to simply ignore the chemistry igniting between us.

Yes, I felt it. Had she? The fact that she was in my employment should deter my desires, but it was difficult to ignore her stunning green gaze as she perused the room. I sighed, remembering the vision of her standing on the edge of the boat, her hair dripping, her clothes wet and clinging to each and every voluptuous curve on her body.

Glancing at the tan leather sofa to my right, I pictured her lying there, her blouse opened, her breasts bare, nipples tight and still wet from the attention I was giving them. I towered over her, bracing one arm on the back of the couch, the other on the edge of the seat, while I pressed into her again and again at a punishing pace … I needed to know how she tasted.

The dragon within me shifted with amusement and caused a flutter in my stomach. Though probably keeping my dick in my pants was the better choice here. At least for the time being.

I pivoted on my feet and headed for the door, then paused as the impulsive side of me surfaced. That damn dragon.

“I’ll need you at dinner tonight.”

Finding Cameo by Vonnie Davis

Bowie Matheson, an Aquarian bear-shifter and police detective, is the first to believe Gemini Cameo Stone’s retelling of a dramatic dream. Cameo, a new lawyer in town, has the gift or curse of having prophetic dreams. Bowie, a humanitarian, looks to protect his community.

As soon as Bowie’s bear sees Cameo, he chooses her for his human half’s mate. Bowie is not impressed. He wants a mate with a sharp mind. Someone as beautiful as her couldn’t have both. But with the magical help of pink-haired witch, Effie, the sparks fly between Cameo and Bowie.

The compatibility between their signs cause them to grow closer since they often think alike. They are analytical, intelligent, and love the process of learning. Once these two get tangled with HSS, a gang that’s migrated from Glasgow, lives are in danger, fears reign, and the typically calm life of the area changes.

When Cameo is abducted by the murderous gang will Bowie’s intellectual connection with the woman he loves help him find Cameo?

Release date: Mar. 4th 2018

Excerpt (Sexy)

She was naked again.
The cold wind blew Cameo Stone’s long hair away from her shoulders and back. What was displayed below, as she floated above the danger, commanded her attention. Cameo was used to the form and sensations of her dreams. Dreams that were a sign of things to come—of illness, impending danger, or looming horrific events.
In her heart, she believed it was up to her to warn the person or persons in her nightmares that bad fortune lay ahead. A process that caused people to think she was whacky, dangerous, or someone simply to be avoided. It made for a lonely existence.
From her dreamy viewpoint, a silver compact like hers sped down a curved mountain road. A man wearing a black knit hat and black puffy jacket ran out of the woods.
Action slowed to a snapping movie frame of motion, which typically meant important clues were coming. He had a rifle with a scope. A hunter, perhaps? A more sinister reaction gripped Cameo. Part of the barrel had been sawed off his gun. His green-eyed gaze in a face dotted with tattoos shifted to the driver. So did his weapon.
An emblem was on the cuff of his black hat. Orange. Round. Edged in blood-red. In the center were bold black initials HSS.
The driver sped up, trying to go around the menacing man before he shot her. She hit a patch of ice and spun out of control. Out of her right peripheral vision, a policeman followed with his handgun drawn. The driver braked hard, swerved, tires squealing, but she still hit the officer. He rolled over her hood. As he bumped across the windshield, golden glowing eyes stared at her. His badge read Bowie Matheson. Sounds of him spinning and scratching her roof made her shudder. It was like fingernails on a blackboard. To her shock, a bear slid off her trunk giving chase to the man with the rifle.
Where had the damn bear come from? How had she missed that part?
By now, Cameo realized the driver was her. She zoomed silently from the sky to the interior of the automobile. As soon as she had it stopped, she jumped out, fully dressed somehow, and looked for the officer she’d struck. There was nothing on the road behind her compact. She dropped to her knees and peered under the vehicle. Nothing there. With her gaze shifting, she slowly circled her car before walking along the ditches on both sides of the narrow road.
Where was the man she’d struck?
She woke with his name on her lips, “Bowie Matheson.”
Her feet slid from under the pile of covers and slipped into her bedroom slippers, or baffies as the Scots called them. Cool air hit her and she reached for her robe mid-shiver. Her clock displayed three-forty-two and a cup of hot tea called her. All she had to do was shuffle downstairs to the kitchen in Matheson Lodge and heat a pot of water.
Cameo had been a guest at the castle converted into a hotel for five nights. She’d traveled to Matheville for an interview and was waiting for a response on a job as a solicitor at the law firm of McGuire and Dunn Associates. During the rest of the time, she drove and walked the narrow streets of the picturesque small town, acquainting herself with the businesses and places to rent should she get hired.
She tiptoed down the steps, wondering again why so many citizens bore the last name Matheson. The beautiful clean bay and the town, itself, bore part of the name. When she’d asked Fiona Matheson, who handled the reservation and staff of the lodge, the woman had informed her Mathe stood for bear.
Until the dream she’d just had, she hadn’t seen any bears.
Once in the kitchen, she turned on a light and filled a teapot with water. It would take her several cups to work through the meaning of the dream and settle her nerves. This had been the first time she’d ever been a player in one of her prophetic nightmares—and it had her especially rattled.
Her tea made, she stirred in two cubes of sugar. It would be a long while before she’d take her car for a drive in the mountainous segments of the Highlands. That much she was sure of. Parts of her dream were understandable. A cop chasing an armed man for whatever reason. Hints of the two men’s identities. This was typical in her night visions.
But where had the policeman gone? How had a bear replaced him? And why had that change been kept from her? Usually, she saw every gory aspect. Why not with this dream? Really, she ought to be relieved she’d been spared some of the details. And she would be if the driver of the car hadn’t been her.
Two cups of chamomile tea later, Cameo returned to her room and placed several logs in the fireplace. She crawled under the pile of covers, thankful for her flannel pajamas. Although the tea had soothed her, it hadn’t helped her to analyze the dream. She pulled the quilt over her shoulders, closed her eyes, and began counting backwards from one-hundred.
She was naked again…
